Reading to Learn

Reading is an essential component in both language learning and life-long learning. Aiming to help our students cultivate good reading habits, Reading to Learn lesson has been put into the regular timetable since 2012. In the Reading to Learn lessons, students are encouraged to select books they enjoy reading and set goals before they embark on their reading journey. Inspiring interactions between students and teachers through book sharing not only adds pleasure to reading, but also motivates students to read for both intellectual and spiritual nourishment. To create a strong reading atmosphere, Extensive Reading Scheme, Holiday Reading Scheme and book sharing sessions are incorporated into the curriculum.
